How often do you have puppies?
Usually once a year. On rare occasions, we have an additional litter later that year.
..................
How many dogs do you have?
We currently have one male dog. Our 2 female dogs are only bred every other year.
We deeply love and care for all of our dogs, including our retired ones. As such, they remain a part of our family for their entire lives and enjoy a comfortable, plush lifestyle. They sleep in our bedroom, are fully house trained, receive ample exercise outdoors, and are always with us.

How do you take care of the puppies?
The puppies have an abundance of love and cuddling. They are kept clean, their surrounding are always kept clean, and they are litter-box trained. This environment helps make it easier for them to be house trained, because they are accustomed to cleanliness.
Puppies live indoors to protect them from parasites. During the day they play in our living room, and sleep in our guest room at night. They are never confined to an area unsuitable for human habitation, like a garage or shed. We slowly wean the puppies, just like you would with a human baby.
Puppies have a veterinary exam and are vaccinated as per veterinary recommendations before they go to their new homes
Matching a breeding pair:
To be considered for a mating, parents need to be a similar size. Too large of a male will present dangers to the female during the late stages of pregnancy and birth. This also gives predictability to the ultimate size of the puppies when they are grown.
They need to be healthy, have good structure, pleasing appearance and be clear of any genes that could pass on disorders to the puppies.
For us, the male and female also have to be significantly unrelated. We do not inbreed, line breed, or back breed. Our dogs and their puppies are not inbred.
We only have cream to light blonde Goldens, so patchy coloring is not an issue as it would potentially be if you were breeding a light dog to a dark dog.
We only breed purebred Goldens. Please keep in mind that cream is only a description of a coat color, and darker Goldens were long favored in America, whereas in Europe, light colored Goldens were preferred. And they are all the same breed: Golden Retriever. Here is a photo of other breeders' dogs that display the range of colors within the Golden Retriever breed.
